COLLECTIVE BRILLIANCE: FOUNDATIONS
What have you been meaning to make space for?
Move from “I know I want to do something” to a direction you’re excited to pursue.
Fall 2026 • Haus of Comedy • Sacramento, CA
Two-week facilitated cohort experience • Limited to 8–12 people
Priority interest deadline: September 23
THE PURPOSE
Collective Brilliance is for people who want to make something happen, in their communities, organizations, creative practices, or lives, but could use some space, people, and structure to figure out what that something might be.
Over two weeks, we'll use play, applied improv, reflection, conversation, and collaborative tools to explore what matters to you, generate possibilities, and identify something you want to pursue.
The experience combines immersive in-person sessions with shorter virtual working sessions between them, creating space to explore, step away, come back, and keep ideas moving rather than trying to figure everything out in one sitting.
You do not need to arrive with a project.
Figuring out what you want to work on is part of the experience!
THE EXPERIENCE
Sunday Intensive #1 — October 4, 1–5 PM
Connect, play, explore, imagine.
Virtual Working Session — Thursday, October 8, 5:30–6:45 PM
Keep ideas percolating. Reflect, explore possibilities, talk things through with your cohort, and continue developing what’s emerging.
Virtual Working Session — Thursday, October 15, 5:30–6:45 PM
Continue exploring what’s emerging, get feedback and support from the cohort, and begin moving toward a direction you want to pursue.
Sunday Intensive #2 — October 18, 1–5 PM
Synthesize what you've discovered, develop your direction, and leave with something you want to pursue.
WHAT YOU'LL LEAVE WITH
Greater clarity about what matters to you and where you want to put your energy.
A project, idea, or direction you want to explore further.
Practical tools for creativity, collaboration, and moving ideas forward.
New perspectives, connections, and momentum.
THIS MIGHT BE FOR YOU IF...
You:
You have an idea you keep circling but haven't started.
You want to contribute something but aren't sure what yet.
You're navigating a transition or asking “what's next?”
You're craving thoughtful, curious people to think and make things alongside.
***You don't need to be an improviser, facilitator, entrepreneur, nonprofit professional, or "leader."***
ACCESSIBLE PRICING
We offer sliding-scale pricing because we believe cost shouldn’t determine who gets to participate. We trust you to choose the rate that supports both you and our community, no questions asked.
Supported — $125
For those for whom the Standard Rate would create a financial barrier. Choose this rate if a lower cost makes participating more accessible to you.
Standard — $200
The standard cost of participating in Collective Brilliance. Choose this rate if you can comfortably pay the full program fee.
Pay-it-forward — $275
For those with greater financial flexibility. Choosing this rate helps make lower-cost and scholarship spots available to others in the cohort.
Payment plans are also available.
ACCESSIBILITY & PARTICIPATION
Collective Brilliance is designed with different ways of thinking, processing, communicating, and participating in mind. Throughout the experience, you can expect a clear structure, breaks during longer sessions, written and verbal prompts, opportunities to reflect individually and with others, and multiple ways to contribute.
Participation is always by choice—you’ll be invited to engage in ways that work for you. If there’s something that would make the experience more accessible or supportive, you’ll have an opportunity to share that when you register.

Priority interest deadline: September 23
We are intentionally keeping the cohort small. The interest form helps me learn a little about what s bringing you to Collective Brilliance and build a thoughtful group. You don't need polished answers or a fully formed project.
It should take about 5 minutes.
