Facilitator Playground is a space to practice facilitation by experiencing it.
Together, we'll experiment with participatory structures, explore what helps authentic engagement emerge, and learn from the collective wisdom already in the room. Participants come from a wide range of backgrounds, including nonprofits, education, arts organizations, consulting, community leadership, and creative practice, and often they're wrestling with many of the same questions:
How do we create spaces where people feel comfortable contributing?
How do we move beyond presentations and into participation?
What helps people connect, collaborate, and stay engaged?
This is not a lecture or webinar.
It's a chance to practice, play, reflect, and connect with fellow humans who care about bringing people together thoughtfully.
Whether you facilitate:
• meetings
• workshops
• classrooms
• community spaces
• creative collaborations
• strategic planning sessions
• or conversations with humans in general
...you're welcome here.
What to Expect:
✦ Participatory activities and facilitation experiments
✦ Practical structures you can adapt for your own groups
✦ Reflection on the small choices that shape engagement
✦ Connection with fellow facilitators, leaders, and community builders
✦ Space for curiosity, questions, and collective learning
Participants frequently leave feeling more connected, energized, inspired, and resourced than when they arrived.

Topic: Whiteboards as a Virtual Resource
This month's Playground will include experiments with Zoom Whiteboard and collaborative visual facilitation.
It may be a little messier, a little more playful, and possibly a little more freaky and experimental!
